Artist Statement

I am a Multi -Media artist.  I have been a self-taught quilter for more than twenty years.  After retirement I began to learn new techniques, color theory and the use of other materials to incorporate into my fiber art.  I enjoy working in three-dimension and have created several assemblages and beaded pieces.  I am currently exploring detailed texture and color found in studying nature 'up-close and personal'.  There is a profound awesomeness in common and uncommon detail.  My hope is to offer insight to the viewer of this beauty and complexity.
